We built 20 chairs and a system of 12 interlocking tables and installed them in the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University. The project served two primary aims. We wanted to explore how furniture configurability could empower people to make space, and we also wanted to explore means and methods for production fabrication. The result was a set of high quality reclaimed American oak and powdercoated steel chairs paired with a geometric system of 12 tables, fabricated over the coarse of a month. We installed the products in Brown's Granoff Center and held an public event inviting people to come see the work. The only stipulation: If you entered the space, you had to rearrange the furniture.
